The first is the message that a single installer adds both 32-bit and 64-bit support. Two aspects of that screen are noteworthy. When I visited the Flash Player download page on a system running the 64-bit version of Windows 7, I was greeted with this dialog box: We have not yet announced timing or release dates. Back in July 2008, more than three years ago, I noted that Adobe's official support page for the Flash Player included this text:Īdobe is working on Flash Player support for 64-bit platforms as part of our ongoing commitment to the cross-platform compatibility of Flash Player. The official announcement of the availability of Flash Player 11 is here, and the download itself is here. Adobe has finally released a Flash Player that includes full native 64-bit support for 64-bit browsers on Windows, Mac, and Linux.
